# Sign in with Claude Code

After [connecting chat](/docs/cloud/#connect-your-chat), sign in with your own
Claude subscription. Your Enso Cloud account does not include model access.

## Connect your account

1. Choose **Get Claude sign-in link** in Cloud.
2. Open **Sign in with Claude**, sign in, and approve Claude Code access.
3. Copy the code Claude returns and paste it into the Cloud form.
4. Choose **Connect Claude** to finish sign-in on your instance.

The official Claude Code CLI exchanges the code and saves its login inside your
machine. The submitted code passes through Cloud for immediate delivery; Cloud
does not save the code or provider credentials in its database or browser storage.

## Resume or retry

An attempt lasts up to ten minutes, and Cloud shows the exact expiry time beside
**Cancel sign-in**. Refresh in the same Cloud account session to return to it.
Another session may report that sign-in is busy; continue in the original session
or wait for it to finish or expire.

Correct a rejected code if the attempt is still active. **Cancel sign-in** ends the
current attempt. Once an attempt has ended, choose **Start a new sign-in** and use
the new link and code together. If a connection fails during submission, let Cloud
check its status before submitting again.

**Sign in using the console** is available on every instance and opens by default on
older machines without the guided helper. It gives you the `claude auth login` command
to run yourself: **Open console** opens the machine's terminal, and **Check sign-in**
rechecks the result afterwards. See [manual setup](/docs/cloud/#manual-setup) if the
whole instance uses the older flow.

## Verify a reply

Choose **Start Enso**, then send a normal message in the paired chat. A detected
login confirms stored credentials; the successful reply confirms that your
selected model can actually run. Cloud keeps **Setup in progress** until that
reply is delivered.
